CAPTAIN'S VICE CAPTAIN SELECTION MEETING

Present were: Lall Persaud, IM Chung, S. Persaud, M. Jinnah, R. Balkissoon, S. Sankar, Steve Senwasane and Jerry Pooran. R. Samaroo connected via phone for a short while.

Steve welcomed everyone. Lall gave a short introduction as to the selection process as stipulated in the constitution.

From the list of registered players, Mark Chung, Marvin Bhagoo, Ramesh Samaroo, Sunil Sankar and Jerry Pooran were identified. Each candidate gave a "Resume" and their scope of what they would do if selected as captain. R. Samaroo gave his input via phone (loud speaker was on to allow the entire quorum to hear.)

Each candidate were criticised and praised by everyone present so as to give a measure of the most suitable person to lead the team for 2009. After deliberations, Ignatius Mark Chung was selected with the approval of the entire quorum.

Deliberations for the position of vice caption were similarily embarked. It was agreed that the the remaining candidates be considered for the post to effect a smooth transfer in circumstances where the captain is unavailable. After pros and cons of each candidate was considered, it was decided that Sunil Sankar best suits the requirements. After further discussions on grounds of experience and knowledge for succession, Marvin Bhagoo was nominated and confirmed in the alternate vice captain role.

The meeting had time and the selection committee was decided upon. The members of the selection committee are IM Chung, S. Persaud, S. Sankar, L. Persaud and Dhan Singh (Lucky). It was also adopted that Dhan Singh and H. Pooran will fulfill the duties of Manager as espoused in the Constitution. They will also form the Discilpinary Committee that will be formed soon.

The meeting ended at 8:45 PM.

There will be a team meeting very soon to discuss plans for the upcoming season. The names above will be registered on March 29, 2009 and the league fees will be paid at the same time.
