CAMBRIDGE COMMUNITY CRICKET CLUB

LEAGUE SELECTION POLICY

 

1                   Only paid members are eligible for selection. Each selector must have a list of the paid membership or request one from the Treasurer.

2                   Selection of the 13 member squad will be finalised on Wednesday evening. A copy of the list will be given to the secretary to post on the website.

3                   The selection process is as follows.

4                   Each selector will nominate his 13 member squads.

5                   Where the common names appear on each selector nominations, those players are deemed selected.

 

6                   Where the selector nominations differ, the names will be pooled and by a vote amongst the 3 selectors, the remaining players will be selected.

7                   If an agreement cannot be reached on nominations, the executive members of the selection committee will resolve the differences and the decision is final.

8                   Each player will check the website and confirm their commitment to a designated selector. (For the website, use Internet Explorer and type in ‘Cambridge Community Cricket ClubÂ’). Select the Selection Tab to view list.

9                   If the selected player does not have access to a website, he will call the designated selector to inquire whether he has been selected or not.     

10              If a player declines selection, he must notify the designated selector within 24 hours; otherwise he will be deemed selected.    

 

11              If the number of players selected who declined selection exceeds 2, then the selection committee will select another player(s) and inform him by phone.

12              Practice and availability for practice will be taken into consideration when selecting the team.

13              Players who performed well in all aspects of their games on the Sunday, friendly and social games will be considered for selection.
